Aaron lost his original crossbow-inspired flyer very early in the beginning of year 2, dropping down to a smallish bike.  Now the balance of power & vehicle size has shifted back in his favor a bit.

Music shop MOC interior build begins

Sweet, I think this is one of the best parts of this project, especially the two major wall displays that go up quickly.  I'm already starting to get excited about the second floor, but I mustn't get ahead of myself.

Mega Construx Halo Blue Team in-hand review

Mega Construx Pokemon Charizard set review

I expect this to be one of the best selling wave 1 Pokemon sets from Mega.  The box looks good on the shelf, the finished model looks good on a desk.  The price is pushing the upper limit of reasonability, though, I think.

LEGO NEXO Knights Stone Colossus of Ultimate Destruction review 70356

I went ahead & spent the big bucks on shipping to get some season 4 Nexo sets imported, hoping to find some gems among the stones (because Stone Army, right?).  This titan build is more impressive to initially behold in person than it appeared in pictures, yet for its large size it somehow feels a bit underwhelming to me.  Ironically, my favorite elements of the set are two of the little normal-sized minifigures.

LEGO Thor vs. Hulk Arena Clash set review 76088

This is the second of only two Thor: Ragnarok derived sets released earlier this month in Europe & Asia.  I think most people, myself included, were expecting this to be a pretty poor value.  Having gotten it in my hands, it seems a little better than I expected, but only just.

Here come the drones!

Indoor aerial videography, anyone?  Sounds contradictory!  This is something I've been looking to try for awhile, and the release of the very interesting new DJI Spark mini multicopter gave me a good excuse to take the plunge.

I've hardly flown anything in the past 1/2 decade so I'm terribly rusty at the controls yet, but that will change with practice.  I've also quickly learned that in spite of the small size of this new multicopter, prop downwash is significant (even after removing the prop guards).  I will need to secure my vehicles to keep them from occasionally being nudged forward or back by the torrent of air.  An easy problem to fix!  I look forward to capturing & sharing some much nicer footage in the future, but I had to start somewhere.
