LEGO Hobbit Escape from Mirkwood Spiders review! set 79001
My local stores still have a ton of these on the shelves. It's an interesting situation. The third movie of the Hobbit series is about to hit theaters. This set here was released before the first movie, and it depicts a scene from the second!

Mega Bloks Halo BRAVO Series review! All 8 figures

Playmobil reviews?! What?!?! -- UPDATE

Fret not! I will not be reviewing anything Playmobil related on my JANGBRiCKS channel :)
I will, however, be reviewing things Playmobil related on a new channel I'm trying out, JANGmobil :D
The world of Playmobil has many parallels to that of LEGO since the two companies very, very, very directly compete against each other, but it's also quite very different in many ways, hence the new channel. I'll be slowly developing a divergent review style to cater to that audience, and I hope that if any of you out there know any Playmobil fans, you'll share the new JANGmobil channel with 'em!
I personally loved Playmobil as a young kid, but only one friend had them and I never got any sets of my own, so mostly I had to enjoy it vicariously through pictures & advertisements.
Fast forward to over 30 years later, and things have come full circle! All aboard! Off we go!
PS: Nothing on the JANGBRiCKS channel will change as a result of this, and the frequency of new LEGO & Mega Bloks reviews & custom builds will not change in any way (and anyone who says otherwise is flat-out 100% wrong).
LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts - Wake Rider review! set 6737
This set is from 2002, just after I went into my second LEGO "dark age," and I can't say I'm sorry I missed out on this one when it was in stores. It's just... weird.

Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999. Because that's when this set came out. Alright, maybe it's not party-worthy. Still a cool little set though.

LEGO custom Machine Shop MOC
Here's the culmination of the small building I've been showing on Instagram as it developed. The name of the shop is Lieber-Mack, derived from the German words leben and machen. It's a modest shop with a little more floor space than the absolute minimum, so minifigures could around without constantly running each other over. The plotter was the first interior object to be built. There was very little planning and I followed my normal/favorite process -- hit the parts bins & just start building!
