Behind the scenes: Mall construction update #2

Here's yet another outdated picture from early on in the construction of my LEGO shopping mall MOC.  Every single thing is an entirely unfinished work in progress and will continue to be so until the full mall is revealed in its entirety, and beyond!  In this picture you can see the makings of a jewelry shop and 1/4th of one of the department stores, with a women's clothing department and makeup & perfume counter.  Friends figures make great headless manikins (and will be left in exactly that form), which is great since I didn't have any other use for them until now!

Three more sections have been built since this photo was taken, so stay tuned for the next posting!

PS:  Still not accepting suggestions for this mall :)  General planning for the stores was completed months ago and this thing is going to be 100% my design!

  1. incredible work JANG, all original, all the reasons we love you and your creations. sorry about the suggestion I gave last time I know you wrote it down but you are absolutely right, us fans just need to put our complete trust in the JANG. I mean have you ever let us down before? NEVER. I know you are going to do fantastic stuff regardless what it is and I encourage you to stay true to your ideas only and not be influenced by the outside, I mean it has worked perfectly fine for you so far and look at all the amazing MOCs you've done. Best wishes and good bricking to you / LEGOholicDAN

  3. Hi, is this the down-left corner of the building (if you're looking from the entrance we saw last)? Just to compare this photo to that other one ;) Looks nice, also the color of the walls. Hope we see the next photos soon!

  7. Can't help but be amused by the accidental(?) commentary instilled by using the far skinnier Friends Minifigs as mannequins for the outfits of the normal minifigs shopping there. =P
