Mega Bloks Star Trek NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise review

I got this new release about a week ago, but factors beyond my control (explained in the video) prevented me from completing the build until now.  Sorry for the delay, but I hope it was worth the wait.

  1. Hey Jang,

Sorted out my parts by color and general type and began to build the base before bed tonight. Bam, step 1, missing all of the 10x2 black bricks. Is this the same as you experienced? If so, was there anything else in that bag?

25 COD and Halo set purchased and only suffered 2 malformed parts, never actually missing one. Even my LCAC was complete. Now I understand the pain in a $250 way...

    1. NnnnoOOOOO not another one!! Oh that is so irritating. I'm so sorry. That wasn't the same bag I was missing. Mine had I think three types of parts, all light gray plates from the first step of the actual ship build. Your bag contained all of the black 2x4s, 1x2s, 1x4s, and 2x10s, so check their numbers from the manual and request them all. Hopefully no other bags were missing or swapped. Gah. Do me a favor if you don't mind and post up the printed date code from the box -- it should be in a noticeably different, fast-printed typeface in a little rectangle of its own somewhere around the UPC code. I want to see if ours are from the same batch. I'll also let the person at MB I contacted know about this to make sure it gets marked as a non-isolated incident.

    2. Thanks for the quick response, I'll get right to ordering the rest of the parts.

      My production code is B27066ML

    3. Everything built, sitting on a mocked up base while I wait for the rest of the base parts. I still have an entire bag of grey 4x8 plates which explains how my box got past the scale 64 pieces light. What a joy this ship is to build. Simply amazing. I really appreciate how it`s held together by friction and gravity for easy break down the next time I move. I put this finished model in the same class as UCS R2-D2, never going to be torn apart, never going to be hidden away. That's saying a lot coming from someone who was never a fan of the series. I'm now 16 episodes into season 1 because what else are you going to have on the tube for background noise while building this masterpiece?

  2. I have the Uss Enterprise from megabloks. It's packed well. It's not easy to build. But I'm going to take my time with her.
