LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Rocka 2.0 Replica Edition
My first Rocka 2.0 MOC received a lot of criticism in spite of my copious disclaimers and repeated explanation that I had simply put together real LEGO Hero Factory parts that actually exist in real life to the best of my ability in a best effort to approximate the official CG version of the character.
Well, that's all behind me now, because the new Rocka 2.0 Replica Edition does it all better, coming much closer to a proper, accurate rendition by cutting, painting, and combining different parts. Check it out...

ReplyDeletethis is awesome you should do custom made helments more
ReplyDeleteI thought nothing could beat Specter 2.0.
ReplyDeleteI was wrong.
What brand and what color spray paints did you use?
ReplyDelete(I really want to know because I want to make a rocka 2.0, too!)
Dude. WIN. This is awesome! And whatever color of spraypaint you used, you nailed the colors perfectly! I was actually considering getting duplicates of Breez and Surge to try to do make that with the visors. I was also thinking about putting some of Nex's visor gadgets onto other visors, such as Furno's strange goggles.
ReplyDeletenice!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry for asking about the paint in the last comment I made, I hadn't yet watched the video. Also, I saw a comment on the YouTube video asking if you'd do Stringer and Bulk 2.0 MOCs in this style. I think that would be awesome, but I understand if it would take too much time and resources to do.
ReplyDeleteThis is SOOOOOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love you.
ReplyDeleteYES!!! You used the MTIS backplate method!!! That's the official way to do it!!! Whether you got that from watching ordeal of fire or reading my comments, thank you either way!
ReplyDeletep.s. Sharpie markers are great for coloring parts, and i have been using them for about three years. if it is a really light color that you need go over the surface with a silver marker first, then paint them to your liking. Hope that helps!
I have to say something one is if you want the colours to be the same then get white lower leg armour pieces and feet and paint them the same colours as the other gold pieces and it will look natural.
ReplyDeleteYou should make a surge 3.0!
ReplyDeleteyour the best
ReplyDeleteTry to make an Evo 3.0!
ReplyDeletehow do you get custom made helmets?
ReplyDeleteFinally people are using that backplate method. Was one of the first thing I did to most of my heroes. Ties their whole look together. This is no exception! Great work!
ReplyDeleteThe head looks awesome. But no offence you did a tiny bit wrong. First you get Surge's headgear and cut off the telescope eye. Then get Breez's headgear and cut off the front of it (except those two little fang pices at the front) and stick it on Surge's head gear the way you stuck it on. Then just paint the whole thing silver. I'm not trying to be rude but i'm just giving you advice Okay :D
ReplyDeleteblah to anonymous under josh

ReplyDeleteI watched savege planet today,AND TOTALY NAILED...EVERYTHING!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job ...now you need to make stringer 2.0 Replica Edition
