Time for a change? A BIG change?

In 2010, Bionicle was discontinued, and Hero Factory was launched.  I was sad for the loss of an old stalwart, but happy to see that I'd be able to use my mountain of parts towards a fresh new use with a lot of future potential.  I happily adapted and hopped on the new bandwagon.

Now, it's still 2010, and second series of Hero Factory sets have been fully unveiled.  These, for better or worse, are vastly more different from even the earlier-in-the-year series than the first HF sets were from Bionicle before them.  Suddenly, a great portion of my mountain of parts is looking quite lonely and behind the times.  I'm not so sure I'll be adapting this time.  Instead, I'm very, very seriously considering making a very, very different move within the LEGO omniverse.

What do you think, should I do it?  Should I pull the trigger?

  1. I think you should make herofactory models but also make bionicle models every now and again

  2. I like the new Hero's but I wish they stuck to the old design but I've got a great solution. Go to this web address: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/sprxtrerme/Reviews/Jetbug/bookhero.jpg and see prof of the new Lego Designbyme Hero Factory version however I can't judge yet because usually with Lego Designbyme its not as it seems but this time I am hopeful.

  3. Dear Jang,
I've been following your MOCs since early 2010. I've always liked your MOCs, how they were creative, unique, and inspiring. you've inspired me to create my own MOCs and storyline. i do NOT think you should go into system. the 2.0 are therible, but you shouldn't sell your MOCs and pieces. please contiunue with your MOCs.

  4. I would definitely by those masks!!!

I feel so bad that the Bionicle universe has ended and sometimes I wish Hero Factory and Bionicle would at least tie together in some parts, but anyways that seems like a great idea. With Lego basically anything is possible.

  5. DONT SELL YOUR MASKS!!!
MASKS CAN MAKE GOOD ARMOUR AND YOU DONT HAVE TO SELL THEM JUST BECAUSE THE HEADTYPE HAS CHANGED.
THE NEW HEAD TYPE WILL NEVER LAST AND IF YOU SELL THEM I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU

  6. i agree. this ball joint connection system is probably just a passing fad. such as the rubber inika masks, and light up weapons. Besides the villains still have plenty of the "traditional connections". maybe you should just moc more villains then heros? besides you are a huge inspiration to people....dont throw in the towel just yet.

  7. If you are going to give up, your just like Lego. No, that was not a compliment. You, in my opinion, are better at MOCmaking than Kylernuva135, and THAT is saying something. You have so many parts, so much variety, and you are just GIVING UP?! If I had that many pieces, I would never stop. I could make something life-sized, probably more. I'm not you, so it's your choice, your Bionicles And Heros. But if you are going to give up, it will hurt in the morning.

  8. I agree with luke1164 and in my sense use your heads, masks, and limbs, but use the HF armor with core. Notice i have not said BODY because some are compatible with Hero Fac. some aren't!

  10. Now that you've reviewed the Hero 2.0 sets and seen the 3.0 ones are you still put off on the new direction?

Personally I like the new system and look forward to them creating new parts for it.

  14. Don't give up Jang. If ur reading this, don't give up. LEGO is being a complete idiot at making HF. I hate it. Keep on posting here and remember: if we say we want bionicle back enough, they will have to.listen to us. Or they risk losing fans. Jang, if you every see this, please reply.
