Octan Factory MOC: Roof on & in its new home

I started working on this building over five long months ago, and at last it's able to contribute to New JANG City.  Of course it's not complete yet, but it really alters the empty/populated space ratio in this city.

With this off my building table, I can divert focus over to some other projects for awhile.  Big sigh of relief here.

A look through a LEGO Idea Book from 1985

Here we go, something more properly "vintage."  I'd never seen the inside of this one before, but it still managed to trigger a lot of nostalgia for me with its contents.

LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts Air Chase from 2002! set 6735

Happy Flashback Friday, if you're into that sort of thing :)  This is a short video calling a small set from early this millennium.  What's up next will be none of those!

Mega Construx Halo Heroes Series 4 Dare, Wetwork, Arestor & summary

Alright!  I picked up the Argus Spartan about two weeks ago, Dare shortly after that, and most recently the Wetwork Spartan started rapidly flickering in & out of stock at Amazon and flipping between retail & scalper prices.  Fortunately I happened to browse through one of the times it was in stock at a reasonable price, letting me finally finish the collection!

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: Silent Mary review - 71042

I think official pictures of this ship did it serious injustice.  Stand the main mast upright and it's actually quite a nice display piece if you appreciate the art and intrigue of tattered & decayed old things.  I say that with no sarcasm or cynicism, believe it or not!

LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 Ravager Attack review - 76079

This week I reviewed the last of the whopping three (3!) Marvel GoTG2 sets released for the new movie.  It feels like a small amount of product for such a big, expensive film, but I have a feeling LEGO did their homework based upon sales from the first round and made a conservative choice that's smart & responsible.

LEGO Technic 2017 Telehandler review! 42061

Some of the most interesting Technic sets of the Winter-ish 2016-2017 season were only released in Europe & Asia so far, even after two major waves of product drops.  However, this telescopic handler is a real performer with all of the desired working functions in a modest-sized package.

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Blue Express review! 31054

Yes!  Finally I've finished up another full LEGO theme from the early 2017 release season.  I certainly did not save the best for last, though.

Airfix Quick Build F-22 Raptor model review

These things will never stop being deceptive at first (and second) glance, as technically, they're almost 100% LEGO-compatible.

LEGO City Police Helicopter polybag review

This is LEGO's March 2017 "qualifying purchases" promotional item in North America, and I think it's quite nice as a freebie.

LEGO Batman Minifigure Plush toy review!

Does this set a new mark for the most unusual review on the 'Bricks channel?

Mega Construx Halo Swords of Sanghelios Combat Lance review

I've yet to see this set near me, but while I was on the road very recently I stopped in a Walmart store over an hour away (by freeway, when there's no traffic) and they had two of these!  Plus, it showed up for sale on Amazon for a brief moment before it re-engaged active camo.

Proof of life video

Sorry I've been a little less active lately.  Non-LEGO life has taken an excess of precedence, but all is well and my plan & motivation remains the same.  "I'll be back" ASAP.

LEGO Star Wars original Landspeeder from 1999 reviewed! set 7110

Happy Throwback Thursday!  Here's a wee one from the first year of LEGO Star Wars.

Halfo fo Mega Construx Halo Heroes Series 4 reviewed

I felt quite happy & lucky to be able to get some new Mega stuff on Amazon, but it was a very limited release of just these three figures (as far as I saw) and they disappeared quickly. As for the rest? Well, we shall see.

LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 Ayesha's Revenge review! 76080

I like 2.5 of the these figures and the middle build.  The main thing is very visually loud & funky though!

LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari FXX-K & Development Center review! 75882

Last of the first wave of 2017 Speed Champions here, pretty large & expensive for a single-car set.

Mega Construx Kubros: Alien Ripley & Xenomorph reviewed

These are sold separately as usual, but I put this season's the two figures from the same theme into one video for a little more bang for your metaphorical viewing buck.

LEGO City 2017 Hot Rod polybag review! 30354

This appears to be a Target retail exclusive in the US, but hopefully it'll be made available through other channels in more countries.  I like it for the price.

LEGO Star Wars Imperial Landing Craft 7659 review

Here's a throwback from a full decade ago, not far from the middle of the evolution of LEGO licensed builds to date.  It shows a sea change in complexity versus the first years' products, yet lacks the sturdiness and detail of the latest offerings.  Seems like a reasonable candidate for a remake, actually.

LEGO Speed Champions 2016 season Ferrari Formula One car review

The existence of this single-car set just makes me happy for all of the folks who want a nice LEGO F1 car, but lack the desire or means to buy one of big team playsets.

Four more LEGO BrickHeadz figures reviewed

This wraps up my coverage of LEGO's answer to Funko Pop! for now.  I wanted to give the new line a good chance and a fair overall evaluation by going through a whole series.  Feedback from the majority of you has been markedly indifferent.  In the future I'll probably only get the figures I'm personally interested in collecting/displaying (or that my wife is; she grabbed the B&B figures almost before I could turn off the camera).
