Lego Hero Factory Recon Team unboxing & review

My two Lego Hero Factory Hero Recon Team sets (boy that's a mouthful) arrived today at last.  I'm very impressed with the packaging and presentation, and especially with the custom instruction manual.  This is just great stuff.

For folks who didn't make an early order and were sad to hear that there would be a "special" piece included with early sets after Recon Team was delayed, you can relax.  The "special" piece is just a flame accessory from the 2.0-series villains.

    If it was possible to come to where I live, I would buy something like... 4 of them! I just think that when making the hero, I felt a little... arrested. It's too much simple!

    I just saw something disappointing. I was not trying to steal, but out of curiosity, when you first opened the instruction booklet, I zoomed in, and saw that your Hero Code was the SAME as mine! I would say it, but that would give everyone else the code. It is not CUSTOM!

    Jang, I have some news. It appears that Alba 2.0 is on page 4 of the most voted creations, with my Thermal Dekar photo trailing a few pics behind it. These kids just get SO successful off of plagiarized stuff!

    Cool hero I'm getting 2 maybe 3 on my bday I think yours is cool I have to chose fro me the five I will get maybe christmas and please make a vid on the other guy I think he will be just as cool if not better. I am making my heroes with fire lord guns and I call them by these names you can use them

    I've been waiting almost 3 weeks for mine to arrive. Hopefully it'll be here today or Monday. If it does get delayed, I hope they do include an extra sorry piece. I don't care what kind of piece it is. But the least I hope my hero comes soon. When it does, I'll make a video about it.

    Dangit. I would LOVE to buy my own hero but I'm spending all my money on drilldozer so I can relax knowing that I have the whole collection so far. But after I buy dozer I'll be skint. Why did I spend my money on pepsi...WHY!!!!!!!

    I took a look at the lego Hero recon team builder, and I found 1 piece missing. It is from small armor parts the "Dark pearl gery" piece that only Nitro blast uses. I guess lego forgot to add it?

    Ya I just ordered mine ist pretty cool but im gonna rearange the pieces. Also I made a recon bot on desine by me and it had like 3 more pieces than a regular hero recon and it was freakn' 30 bucks. I mean what the %#$@!!!!!!!!

    i paid 36 bucks to get two guys XD im fine as long as they are good. i have like 9 designs right now so im done making new recon team members. now to purchase them!!! i also saw this 8 year old who kept copying me. i make rick firetorch and jason ironshadow (ironshadow i ordered along with his brother) then he makes rick irontorch who looks like a combo of the 2!!!! then i realized 8 year olds are the most unoriginal age group.

    @ Eli J. Brown: OMG! Are you LinkAndRutoFan?!? I love your Bionicle mocs. I bought Rick Max Fist too, but I made his left hand silver to match the right. He was bought June 6, 2011.
    I have seen your replicas of Jang's MOCs. I have a shelf of 20 or so replicas of Jang's mocs in my room. I'm currently saving up to complete The Others, Blanko 1.9, and Epic Witch Doctor.

    my name is joe and i bought a hero recon modle with my christmas money. i found it was smart to ad parts with pick a brik(becuase the recon ap limits your parts) so you dont have to pay more shipping. ps: love blanko 1.9
