Affiliate Marketing

I am a member of affiliate programs with the following entities that allow me to make (a little) money off visitor traffic:
  • eBay
  • Amazon (as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases)
  • LEGO (via Rakuten Marketing)
If I post a link to one of these vendors or their products and you click it, I may receive a small monetary commission either as a result of the referral or any shopping purchase(s) you make during that usage session.

No effect on your experience

For you the process of clicking one of these affiliate links and proceeding on a vendor site thereafter is no different than searching or browsing from a search engine or the vendor site directly.  My affiliate links don't change the prices of products, and I receive no personally identifiable information linking you or anything about you to your browsing & shopping activity.  By law, the process is completely anonymous between you and me, though once you're on a vendor's site you are subject to their own terms of service, as usual.

Advertisements

I utilize Google AdSense and other Google-run services to place paid advertisements for third party products and services on and around my content.  This process is automated by Google server computers based upon their policies & processes without any direct involvement from me.  The ads you see are determined by their systems, which may collect contextual cues from adjacent content and/or your own prior browsing & viewership history.  I receive no personally identifiable information linking you or anything about you to the ads you see or the reasons you see them.
