I had a weekend!

For the first time in some number of months (I honestly can't recall how long it's been), I took the majority of a day off.  Then I pushed things to a whole new level, probably not attempted in years, and took the majority of a second day off!  Granted, there was some studio work done as well as a noteworthy amount of behind-the-scenes cleanup & general overhead, plus plenty of non-brick-related activities, but all things are relative, after all.  Relative to the well-established norm, I had myself a real slacker of a weekend, and what's more of a surprise is that I don't feel too guilty about it.  It's not that I needed any extra R&R -- I rather enjoy being continuously productive and do work well under pressure -- the pieces just happened to fall into place, and I went with it.

It felt... neat.  Perhaps I can try it on a regular basis.  Once every 3-4 months sounds reasonable, I think?

  1. Happy for you jang, but as a suggestion, maybe you could like pre-record some videos and schedule them for release during your day offs or down time :) just a tiny suggestion, cant wait for the next videos!

  7. Jang, I thought you must be working flat out to do as much as you do in your life. In fact, I've been concerned about this. To announce that you've actually had a weekend off speaks volumes!

I really appreciate the hard work you do to run Jangbricks. As a child, I had Lego in the early to mid 1970's and loved it. I'm now in my 50s. I caught the Lego bug again in 2013 when looking at youtube stuff and found Jangbricks. It's simply the best!

Thank you Jang for helping to relight my Lego passion.

  10. Hello, Jang. I am 32 and my son is 7, we both love your Lego city/world and we're amazed at your dedication and commentment to detail. As a kid I loved Lego and had a small city of my own. Boxed away for over a decade my son took a great deal of interest and had a pretty good amount of bricks himself but would always take them apart to build something of his own. A while back we dusted off all of mine and put back together my little town and Lego has become something both he and myself love to work with almost on a daily basis. We was curious if we could build you something for your empire that you would display. Something small, maybe a car, truck, boat, or plane. Maybe a level on a appartment building. Anything really. Just wanting to be a small part of something a lot bigger. Not asking for anything in return, just something small in your Lego world. My email is jeast04fx4@gmail.com. looking forward to hearing from you and again, thanks for your amazing work and attention to detail.
