Insert The LEGO Movie 2 Review Clickbait Title Here (no spoilers)

(I was the first in the theater for this Thursday matinee premiere)

"Absolutely Awesome." "Everything Is Awesome-ish." "Everything Is Not Awesome."  Early professional evaluations of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part have run the gamut from sounding like paid endorsements to utterly trashing the film as a time-wasting bore.  This deep contrast truly puzzles me because while extremism is the ruling force of our generation and histrionics generate clicks & ad revenue, TLM2 itself is a very even-keeled, level-running, inoffensive piece of work.

LEGO Movie Bad Cop Car Chase review! set 70819

Okay, I think this is the last of the (three) new LEGO Movie sets for now.  Perhaps more will sneak up on us over the next couple of months, though?

LEGO Movie Batman & Super Angry Kitty Attack review! set 70817

Another supplemental-style set here that asks kids not to forget about The LEGO Movie.  This one is a great deal for the figures, plus it introduces one absolutely fantastic new color for a rare piece that is going to open up a world of possibilities for custom accessory builds.

Slowly Rotating LEGO: Benny's Spaceship

Introducing SRL, Slowly Rotating LEGO.  It's a concept I've been wanting to try since I got Benny's Spaceship back in May, and finally I've given myself time to give it a shot.  Here's a tip:  Don't try to figure out "why."  Just watch, and enjoy, or not :)

The LEGO Movie exclusive Vitruvius minifig!

With the higher-priced "Everything is Awesome Edition" packaging of The LEGO Movie on Blu-Ray & DVD, you get this exclusive pre-blinding version of Vitruvius in genuine minifig form!  In this video I show the figure and also compare it to the previous Vitruvius fig.

JANGBRiCKS Remix: Benny's SPACEBASE MOC & backstory!

I got multiple Benny ship sets, and here's one of the reasons!

• LEGO 70816 Benny's SPACEBASE alternate build MOC! JANGBRiCKS Remix!

Here's the setup.  Benny has been captured by the Super Secret Police, and one SSP RoboPilot has donned Benny's trademark play-worn space suit to infiltrate & take over an old Master Builder Space Base.  Following Lord Business' direction, the RoboPilot now permanently operates the station, which has been turned into a well-defended attack installation featuring a planet-splitting laser!  With Benny's whereabouts unknown, it's up to the remaining Master Builders to retake the base and save hundreds of threatened, highly creative worlds!  Continues...

New meets old: Benny's Spaceship homages to Classic LEGO

After aggressive editing, this video ended up much shorter than expected, but it will hopefully help introduce a tidbit of interesting history to younger fans of the LEGO Movie's master builder Benny!

LEGO Movie 70814 Emmet's Construct-O-Mech reviewed!

It's hard to compete with Benny's Spaceship, but Emmet's Construct-O-Mech is certainly poised to try.  How do you think it fairs?  I was quite surprised with the finished product, myself!

Now the question is, do I take it apart like I do almost everything else, or do I make an exception and try to find a place to store & display this enormous thing?

LEGO Movie character comparisons: Benny vs. classic, Metalbeard vs. Metalbeard
