LEGO Hero Factory Invasion From Below MOC: Shadow Beast

It has been quite a long time since I last found inspiration or motivation to make a custom Hero Factory MOC, but here's one now!  As usual, it's one of those things where I looked at one part, then thought about other parts, then started assembling, eventually leading to... a thing!

Goruz returns to YouTube, but is it the last time?

Two years.  For two years this old Hero Factory MOC has been sitting around, waiting for its time to shine.  Sadly, that time has never come.  I finally got tired of keeping it to myself, though, and have put Goruz into a raw overview video, including a ridiculously expensive accessory that I've never shown before:

LEGO Hero Factory Invasion from Below Wave 2 is here!

Don't get too excited, these are all just MOCs!  However, thanks to the Invasion from Below game and the mini-movie therein I was able to make moderately accurate representations of the wave 2 machines & beasts that will actually be released in the Summer 2014 season!

Two more videos for the weekend!

This twofer features a review of a nice Star Wars set that's been out for a little while, and a Hero Factory MOC that I put together very quickly just purely for the fun of it.

• LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Rausch (a simple one)
• LEGO Star Wars 75003 A-Wing Starfighter (2013) set review!

LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Brotherhood of Light leader

Lecius has a successor!  This Hero Factory MOC was built many months ago, but I wanted to get the Or'Da story out in the open before showing it.

Hero Factory / Or'Da MOCs revealed

Following up on this weekend's full reveal of the Or'Da, I've taken some short videos showing the stars of the "_____ addresses the Sempax" videos fully unobscured and in HD.  Once again blog visitors get to see the full set before anyone else!

• LEGO Hero Factory MOC:  Boravus of the Or'Da
• LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Onyx of the Or'Da
• LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Specter of the Or'Da
• LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Lorne with Or'Da Blade weapon

The Dark Order, explained at last

As early as July 2011 I dropped hints about a mysterious Hero Factory backstory I was cooking up involving The Dark Order, or, in their original tongue, the Or'Da.  In 2012 I drummed up renewed interest with a series of cryptic, low-resolution videos featuring various heroes addressing an unknown character known as "Sempax."  Then, in January, I released a series of stories of the Crystals of Zemai-4 as told by master chronicler Zeyek, giving full view to a slice of history involving the work of the Order and their arch enemies, the Brotherhood of Light.

Today I finish the puzzle at last. Get ready for a bit of a read...

LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Specimen 5b

What do you get when you mix an alien bull-buffalo with a giant praying mantis?  Well, I don't know what you get, but this is what "the mad scientist" got on his second try!

As a bonus for today, here's a Bricklink haul for ya:

LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Vaptix A-45A "Diviner"

Who here remembers the name Vaptix?  How about with the help of a 3-year-old reminder?

LEGO Hero Factory Blank Hero MOC, or something

I had to do this Brain Attack "Blank Hero" MOC to stop folks from incessantly spamming me with requests for it.  Incredibly simple, basic, and uninspired.

What happened to BLANKO?

Yesterday's Hero of Tomorrow hasn't been seen in ages.  What happened to him?  Has he received any updates for Breakout or Brain Attack?  What villains has he vanquished?  Where is he now?!?!

All of this and more is answered...

LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Specimen 2

Another of the mad scientist's earliest creations has been discovered!  This was the last one before he began experimenting with artificial genetic hybridization.

LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Commemorative Statue (Gold + Silver)

Happy with how this pair turned out. Almost want to keep it on display.  Oops, too late, already took it apart, but not before getting the thing on video!

LEGO Hero Factory MOC: Specimen 3

Another specimen from the "mad scientist" storyline, one of his earlier hybrid creations this time.

OMG LEGO TOA HERO CREEPER!

It had to happen eventually -- Bionicle, Hero Factory, and Minecraft have joined forces!

LEGO Hero Factory Brain Attack Jet NEX

In my review of Jet Rocka I made it clear that I didn't like the official set for numerous reasons.  With encouragement from viewers like you, I went ahead and updated the set to use a missing hero character, instead of a poorly-executed duplicate of one we've already had in this series.  Things changed include:

1. Updated color scheme
2. Aimable blasters
3. Retractable kickstand to hold the pack up when unoccupied
4. Hybrid NEX MOC in normal size (not stupidly tall like J.Rocka), with full armor coverage, including MTIS on the back

Hero Factory Brain Attack wave 2 Alternate combiner MOCs!

Only three original combi models, so only 3 alternates for now, showing three different ways of approaching the very concept of merging two sets together.  Enjoy, and be sure to try your own!

• Hero Factory Evo + Aquagon alternate combination MOC
• Hero Factory Stormer + Frost Beast alternate combination MOC
• Hero Factory Dragon Bolt upgrade - +Surge combination MOC

LEGO Hero Factory MOC - Lorne, Breakout edition

Lorne lives!  Well, this is the version seen in Lorne Addresses the Sempax, set to the Breakout timeline.  If you haven't seen him before, Lorne was originally my Bionicle self-MOC, who was brought into the Hero Factory universe as a 2.0-series hero. I don't think this'll be the last you'll see of him!
