LEGO Super Heroes Capt. America's Motorcycle polybag! 30447

LEGO continues to do nice things with polybags, and whether you get them as "free with purchase" bonuses or pick them up at retail, you tend to end up with something you can really be happy with, even though it's small.

LEGO Iron Man Gamestop exclusive Silver Centurion polybag

I almost missed out on this one, but thankfully a fellow gamer (who isn't a LEGO fan) had my back and hooked me up with this Gamestop preorder exclusive freebie.

LEGO Architecture Berlin cityscape review! 21027

Here's another of LEGO's new skyline/cityscape sub-theme of Architecture.  I really think these make great space-conscious display pieces.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Rogue Shadow from 2008

Yep, I definitely now wish I had gotten this sooner :)  It's strange that I didn't, considering how much I loved the game.  The second game was very enjoyable too, but the story was more of a stretch and it had some framerate issues.  Luckily LEGO never has to worry about stuff like that.

First LEGO Train Station MOC progress video

I definitely need to start on my first skyscraper soon, but this is a project that's been waiting to be finished for far too long, and it's going to tie in some elements on both sides of my downtown area.  Plus, I got a spark of natural motivation to work on the thing, so there's no better time than now to push forward and make it whole.

LEGO Elves Emily Jones & the Baby Wind Dragon review! 41171

This is the last of the newest Elves sets for now.  There's another release wave coming pertaining to this particular dragon-focused story arc, and that one will include the big dragon.  This set has one of the very, very little dragons.

Mega Bloks Kubros buildable Terminator Genisys T-800 review!

Kubros up!  So technically this is a Genisys set, but if you prefer the classics you can easily place this in the T2 timeline.  Funny-lookin' lil desk model.

LEGO Star Wars B-Wing & Rebel Control Center from 2000

Too early for flashback Friday or even throwback Thursday?  Not a problem; LEGO is timeless! I previously looked at the first official LEGO A-Wing model, now here's the 'B'.

Mega Bloks Call of Duty Office Zombies Mob review

It feels like ages since this set was first unveiled, and I've seen it on Amazon for ridiculous prices for probably a couple of months now.  Finally it showed up at a brick & mortar shop in my region and I was happy to pick it up.

LEGO Friends birthday Party Train review! 41111

You may have seen the new mango-colored bike from this set show up in my bike shop MOC already, but before buttoning up that build I did give the original a little review.  There's more to like in here, including more components that will eventually show up in my city!

LEGO Disney Minifigures series reviewed!

Thankfully it only took a few days to get a mistake corrected, so now I'm finally able to present all 18 of the official LEGO Disney collectible minifigures.

I know that by virtue of the subject matter alone, these will sell like hotcakes and develop & retain great value for the remainder of human history.  I do wish there was more consistency in design & scale across the line, though.

Mega Bloks Star Trek buildable Transporter Room set review

Mega Bloks' acquisition of the Star Trek license for brick-based building sets & compatible miniature figures was announced many months ago, but I didn't realize how far they would delve into the classic universe and how specific the subjects of their builds would be.  Some interesting stuff here.

Custom LEGO ice cream & bike shop & arcade complete!

You've watched this progress on YouTube & Instagram, and now it's all done.  For now :)  I got the roof on and finished up a few small details with the help of recently-acquired parts, and now the building gets to be displayed for a long, long time in New JANG City.

Mega Bloks Halo Spartan IV Battle Pack III review

Tip of the iceberg?  This is the first brand new Mega Bloks Halo series set I've seen for sale in months, and hopefully its appearance fortells the coming of the next full wave.

I have to say the timing was great, though.  I've just started playing Halo 5 again, taking advantage of the Firefight beta while it lasts!

Custom LEGO ice cream & bike shop & arcade progress #5

Another "sprint" of work pushed the other side of the upper floor of this building from sad & bare to nearly complete.

Next time, there should be a roof!

LEGO Ideas Maze 21305 review

The latest set to make it through and out of the often controversial machine known as LEGO Ideas is something rather unlike any of the previous winners.  This is a really nice thing to do in LEGO and the build is pretty quick & easy.  There are two flaws, though, one very small, and the other pretty significant.

LEGO Star Wars A-Wing Fighter from 2000 reviewed! set 7134

When it comes to LEGO's Star Wars line, a set from the year 2000 can be actually be considered "classic."  This here is the first official model of the iconic, agile little single-seat A-Wing starfighter.

LEGO Technic Nitro GTX Bike from 1995 reviewed

Here's something from a specific segment I've probably underserved up to this point -- classic brick-based Technic sets.  Spoiler alert:  This "bike" set came with three wheels & tires...

LEGO Series 6 Collectible Minifigs from 2012 reviewed

It feels like it wasn't long ago when these were last in stores.  Impressive how many series they've made & sold out of in such a short period of time.

Mega Bloks official vs. custom LEGO Destiny S-10V Sparrow

When I made my Destiny Sparrow MOC back in 2014, I was 100% certain there would never be any official plastic brick-based toys made for the franchise.  People (myself included) were already asking for Mega Bloks to apply their magic to Bungie's latest big game, but hopes were between low & non-existant.  The game was very polarizing in its initial incarnation and I, myself, lapsed fairly quickly.  Destiny managed to hold onto a very strong core fanbase, though, and subsequent expansions & updates improved practically every aspect.

In February 2016, Mega Bloks pleasantly surprised a ton of folks with the announcement that not only had they acquired the Destiny license, but they already had a first wave of sets in production, with more to follow later.  Getting the first sets in my hands rekindled my interest in the game and I've since happily resumed playing.

All LEGO Angry Birds figures together in one video

With all of the released LEGO Angry Birds sets reviewed, here's every bird & pig figures extracted out and looked at together.

Mega Bloks Kubros He-Man & Skeletor review

Two more of the highly stylized Kubros from Mega Bloks here, this time the Masters of the Universe pair from the first release wave.  Between the two, I definitely prefer Skeletor.

LEGO Angry Birds Piggy Car Escape review! 75821

Odd, the smallest set in the wave has far & above the highest price/part ratio.  In spite of that, with two figures and a very nicely-designed & decent-sized vehicle, I'm satisfied with the value.

LEGO Angry Birds Piggy Plane Attack review! 75822

Well, ya can't win 'em all.  The plane here goes for an extreme caricature style, but some of the parts used, and how they're left exposed, negates a lot of the potential charm.  There are some really cool parts of the build, but overall this is my least favorite AB set.

LEGO Angry Birds Pig City Teardown review! 75824

This set takes a modest parts count and stretches it out over a nice & large space, incorporating a nice variety of different styles of action/play features that are very appropriate to the theme.

Custom LEGO ice cream & bike shop & ARCADE progress #4

As a gamer who was a child of the 80s, I badly miss video game arcades.  It should come as no surprise, then, that I've been planning for a long, long time to have an arcade in my LEGO city.  Space being such a difficult thing to come by, fate relegated the realization of this goal to the upper floor of half of a building, but I'll take what I can get!

Back to work I go!
