LEGO pancakes, makin' LEGO pancakes! Take some LEGO and I'll put it in a pancake. LEGO pancakes, that's what it's gonna make: LEGO pancaaaAAAAKES!
The Summer releases & reviews continue! Still many more to come!

Here's the latest from LEGO Ideas, formerly known as Cuusoo. It's my favorite fan-initiated official LEGO set yet!
Here's another new big Chima playset, and this one has one of the more dramatic transforming features I've seen!
Thursday, May 29, 2014
The LEGO Friends line has introduced another big playset this year, featuring numerous small assemblies that can be made to fit into small & irregular play areas, or spread out to create a large sprawl to stroll around.
Since this is still asked every single day, I'll answer yet again: A video of my own shopping mall will be done when my own shopping mall is done!

Time to start working on some more different Summer 2014 LEGO themes. Here's my first of the new Chima sets, and it's BIG!

Here it is, the very last space in my mall, all filled in! This is the men's department of my faux-Sears (maybe I can call it Sereaux?). Once again, very low fashion, mostly work clothes here.
With the last section of the interior revealed, I might as well finally show this snap of the whole mall a couple weeks ago:
Today, it looks a bit different, with a small change to the entranceway, most of the roof on, and an edge treatment going around the top. Right now I'm just waiting on some parts to finish up the final details, so the next update should be a full video reveal at last! I've really enjoyed this very unstructured, free-form building process, and I'm completely satisfied with the time it has taken to make what progress I have. If I could go back to early March and change anything from the start, I wouldn't. Everything is turning out as well as I could have hoped, and in many cases, even better.
Update: Thank you all for your comments! Very encouraging to see so much interest in this thing! Thank you all again!

I reviewed the official Toys R Us truck from LEGO quite some time ago (when I still really sucked at reviewing), then later rebuilt that and incorporated it into my custom city. Now I have what I really wanted, and should have gotten long ago, the LEGO City Truck! It's basically the same truck with different colors & stickers, but to me, those differences mean the world! Bonus Bricklink haul, too!

I got multiple Benny ship sets, and here's one of the reasons!
Here's the setup. Benny has been captured by the Super Secret Police, and one SSP RoboPilot has donned Benny's trademark play-worn space suit to infiltrate & take over an old Master Builder Space Base. Following Lord Business' direction, the RoboPilot now permanently operates the station, which has been turned into a well-defended attack installation featuring a planet-splitting laser! With Benny's whereabouts unknown, it's up to the remaining Master Builders to retake the base and save hundreds of threatened, highly creative worlds! Continues...

After aggressive editing, this video ended up much shorter than expected, but it will hopefully help introduce a tidbit of interesting history to younger fans of the LEGO Movie's master builder Benny!
It has been almost a month since the last video mini-tour of this layout and a fair number of sets have been added to it! I'm pretty much out of room now, so a final table will be added to accommodate the final group of original sets over the next couple of months.
Series 2 from the LEGO Mixels line is out & about and I've reviewed all nine sets and also did my best to put together the Max combinations ahead of the release of the official instructions!
Here's another of the original Micro World series sets from LEGO, and likely the last Minecraft set we'll get before things finally switch over to minifig scale!

Here's the latest on my second LEGO city, which now has the new Summer 2014 train and Arctic sets in it!
Updates to each of layouts are always posted when there are updates! When there are no updates, it's because there's nothing new to show :) The answer to the question "when will your next _______ update be posted" will always be "the next time ______ is updated." Thank you for understanding!
It has been a busy day indeed and I have here yet another Summer 2014 set review from the LEGO Movie line, last of the big ones for now!

It's hard to compete with Benny's Spaceship, but Emmet's Construct-O-Mech is certainly poised to try. How do you think it fairs? I was quite surprised with the finished product, myself!
Here's my tidy 11-minute full video review of the most highly anticipated LEGO Movie set, Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! I'll be doing more videos with this set including direct comparisons to the classic space sets that inspired it! Enjoy, and please spread the word!
PS: The original version of this video that was online briefly this afternoon was missing a piece of it... it has been fixed! Sorry about that!
These are the last two sets of this theme that I have in hand, but of course I'll be looking out for the others, especially the ship!
They're action figures, and they're all that this little shop sells! I finally found a place for my Playstation 4 pre-release hype commercial guy to work, too! Again my apologies for the poor angle; gotta keep things framed & cropped for now!
You didn't think I'd be shifting 100% of my focus to the newest LEGO sets, did you? Nah, I'm keeping a little extra fuel in the tank for some older sets, as well as MOCs and other brands as well!
Today I got up my reviews of the last three of the LEGO Ultra Agents sets that have hit stores so far:
- LEGO Ultra Agents 70160 Riverside Raid review! Summer 2014
- LEGO Ultra Agents 70161 Tremor Track Infiltration review! Summer 2014 LEGO Ultra Agents 70162 Infearno Interception review! Summer 2014
I wasn't personally very interested in this theme before, buying & reviewing the sets just for viewers' entertainment, but with each set I tried out, a fondness grew & grew, peaking with the above-pictured 70162. These sets have actually even influenced my future MOC-making, as I've decided to incorporate trans-light blue into my Planetary Defense Force now, and I'll also be eagerly putting the newest part designs to work over the coming days, weeks, and months.
For your convenience, I've also put together a LEGO Ultra Agents reviews playlist with all of my related videos! Enjoy! I sure have :)

Keeping the momentum going! More of the bigger sets that have been found in stores so far here, with some smaller ones to be shown later Friday.
This is quite an unflattering angle of this shop, unfortunately. The key thing here is that this puts to good use every last one of my LEGO Disney Princesses figures (sans heads & arms, obviously). Yes that's a real mirror on the wall.
Annnnnd as I've had to repeat probably 50 times on YouTube & here, to no avail, a mall video will be done when the mall is done.

Here's the new LEGO cargo train! I've now covered all three train-related sets for Summer 2014, but there are still dozens more new set reviews on the way! Free bonus video today too ;)

New LEGO release season may be in full swing, but I'm continuing with other things as well! You blog viewers get to see all of these before anyone else!
This latest LEGO Creator minifig-scaled 3-in-1 is like a vastly reduced version of a modular building set! The first build gives you two tiny 2-story buildings with details throughout, while each of the others generate slightly larger, different-styled structures.
LEGO's announcement of the new Fairground Mixer set really caught me off-guard as it's so very different from their normal themes. Somehow it started hitting the market in very large quantities before the "official" release date, so I bought one for myself and to share with all of y'all!

Here's the first of my Summer 2014 official LEGO train set reviews!
Busy night, with an even busier one coming tomorrow! I'm throwing every last bit of effort at bringing you all the highest-quality reviews I can, as quickly as I can!

It begins!! Here's my first Summer 2014 LEGO set review, with over 100 more on the way! How exciting is that?!
Saturday, May 10, 2014
Order up! One more LEGO Minecraft MOC is complete, another based on my own best interpretation of minifig-compatible scale with a non-naturally generated structure. As a bonus, I've thrown in a new Bricklink haul, which contains the pieces that were used to finish the MOC :)

This is as eclectic of a mix as ever, from a Mega Bloks review I recorded last year to a Kre-O subtheme I've never before tried. Old & new, fantasy & realistic, I've got ya covered.

The big one is here! It's the newest 3,000+ piece LEGO Star Wars set! Enjoy, tell a friend, and May the 4th be with you all!
Octan, once an oil giant & now the mega-monopoly responsible for nearly all of the universe's coffee mug production, has a nice large placement on the 2nd floor of the mall, actually occupying two vendor spaces that have been connected with a doorway in the middle wall. On the right is coffee mug central, while the left is a heritage & souvenir shop! Hopefully you'll be able to see everything much better once it's all done.
New MOC is new! My level of general MOC-making inspiration has been steadily increasing recently and this is something reasonably sized that kept the creative juices flowing during a brief break from working on my mall.

Things are about to ramp up for new release season and I've been running around like crazy, to the point where I wasn't able to keep the blog up to date over the past 24 hours! Here are some of the new videos that went up right before the weekend. There are a bunch more coming within the next 48 hours, including something quite large ;)
