JANGBRiCKS Custom LEGO City update June 2014!

Here it is, the most-requested anything ever!  :)

It takes a lot of time to make progress on this layout, especially with hundreds of reviews being made as well.  As always, the next update will be posted the next time there's anything worth updating y'all about!

  1. Hey jang with that little space across drom the residential area you could put a small visitor information kiosk

  2. I would say try to squeeze in a long narrow 2 story grocery store that also of course sells donuts, capitalizing on the cops nearby. /LhD

  3. or perhaps better a little corner donut vendor with a plant shop beside it and a smaller barbershop for the neighborhood. Are you planning on building 2-3 story apartment complex across there? also I see you leave 4 studs from your sidewalks to the actual street. Is that to be filled in later with bley tiles or meant to be left like that? I realize constructing buildings more outwards using the studs of the street baseplates would give you more room but at the same time hinder your accessibility to each construction.. unless you have a system of course. /LhD

    1. That extra buffer around streets is parking space. It'll make more sense once there are more vehicles. Right now there are only a couple parked things. Not sure an apartment complex will still fit (was originally planned last year), but I do expect to do at least one multi-unit residential structure.

    2. That's smart with the parking spaces.. I shall never doubt you, a genius always thinks ahead and sees what the rest can not. What about in the inner-city like close to the train station having some high rises with commercial zones on the first level, offices on the 2nd or like dental practice and then housing on the rest.. I was thinking like next to the elevated rail on both sides... I don't know I understand you have it all figured out according to the master plan already. I wish I was there to help you build or assist you in some way.

  6. Hey, maybe you could make a little market-spot on that empty ground. A place where people can just stand, and sell thinks. Anyway, great city!

  8. I like that.. Like a little fresh food market where they sell to passer bys … but that is almost better to have somewhere else where JANG has a little space left over. / LhD

    1. That seems a little weird, but I don't know because I'm not a city liver. Do they have apartments in skyscrapers? Though on the subject of skyscrapers, what in the world are you going to put in 10? stories.

  10. You do realize that you don't have any normal houses (not minecraft) in your custom city.I know you said in the youtube video you are going to make some, you really have to make many of them. But well done.

    1. Yes, but 30 houses takes a lot of time and space and is not close to as interesting as a hospital or something like that. And if he were to make all the houses that would be needed for a city with a skyscraper it would take forever to build and tons of space.

  11. Hi,, Jang you have inspired me to make my own lego city. I have a couple questions, you said in the one of your videos about sketching your buildings what do you use to sketch? Not that it's any of my business but where do you work? (you don't have to awnser the second question). If you make the skyscraper up to the window or ceiling you will be the best MOC maker ever.

  12. To the jang I really like your idea with the minecraft attacking also will you build a school because I would really like to see how you would pull that off other than that I will keep watching your videos waiting to see what else you will build also for the train yard build a train repair building great job jang can't wait to see more.

  13. Looking forward to the skyscrapers. I was grinning when I heard you say it may go to the ceiling because, "why not!" That seems to speak of the little kid in all of us wanting to build the tallest tower possible!

  14. Out of curiosity, what is going to be your next "big" project? Before, you did an updat, built a zoo, did an update, built a mall, and you hinted in the February update that you were doing the mall. I hope that the next thing is the marina. That would be cool to see. Also, is there only going to be one skyscraper? And finally, just an idea, not a suggestion at all, but I think that it would be cool to have an office building like the one from The Office (US Version). Just a thought.

  16. Hey Jang when did you start your city?

  17. Very nice and clean layout! You said you were going to make a pet shop since the February update, is it still in the plan and when will it be finished? Also an old fashion type hardware store would look cool too!
