LEGO Movie Metalbeard's Sea Cow 70810 set Review!

Holy Sea Cow, this LEGO Movie ship is huge!  At over 2,700 pieces, this is a real project to assemble.

Now the question is, do I take it apart like I do almost everything else, or do I make an exception and try to find a place to store & display this enormous thing?

  1. Please tell me that you are going to keep that together for a while, it would be a shame to take it apart

  2. Take it apart. You can easy use all of those parts (I think). Mostly the golden, I only have 2 golden round bricks, no other gold for me sadly. Well, I hope you'll make some nice mocs with this!

    1. Get the Ninjago golden dragon set. It has a killer amount of gold pieces for $30!

  3. The LEGO Movie sets are great because they tend to each subcategory of fans. If you love the castle theme you buy that castle cavalry set as it contains great pieces for castle MOCs, if you like to build firetrucks you buy the fire mech, if you like the construction theme you buy the construction mech for pieces and parts. This set is obviously great for all the pirate fans out there as you get all the pieces you need in this and the metalbeard mech set and buying multiples the better obviously. As a LEGO pirate ship however I find it dumb, but for pieces amazing. /LhD

  6. I would recommend displaying it, because even if it has useful parts, I prefer to keep large Lego sets built and on display.

It is up to you, but I gave my recommendation.

  7. I'll recommend displaying it. That is a truly iconic set, and it deserves to be kept on display.

  8. It is such a neat piece, I say display it.... How big is it anyway? Could it fit in the ocean of your city?
